Day-Wise Itinerary (3 Days)
Day 01: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Chopta (8,790 ft)
Start your journey with a scenic drive via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Ukhimath. Check into your accommodation (guesthouse/tents) and relax in the beautiful environs of Chopta.
Day 02: Chopta to Tungnath Temple (12,073 ft)
Trek 5 km (3–4 hours) to the ancient Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple. Spend time soaking in the spiritual atmosphere and breathtaking views.
Day 03: Chandrashila Peak (13,123 ft) & Return
Wake up early for the steep 1.5 km climb to Chandrashila Peak for a magical sunrise and **360° Himalayan panorama** (Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, etc.). Descend back to Chopta for your return journey.

How to Reach Chopta
Step 1: Reach Haridwar or Rishikesh (Base City)
By Air: Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (DED) is nearest (approx. 220 km). **By Train/Bus: Haridwar/Rishikesh stations are well-connected to Delhi.
Step 2: Rishikesh/Haridwar → Chopta (7–8 hours)
Distance is 200–225 km. Route: Rishikesh → Devprayag → Srinagar → Rudraprayag → Ukhimath → Chopta. Use shared jeeps, private cabs, or self-drive.
Step 3: Start the Trek
The trek officially begins from the Chopta Market area, leading 5 km to Tungnath and 1.5 km to Chandrashila Peak.
